about me.

I am Mojisola Kareem.

I was born in the UK and lived in London until I was 6 years old. I spent the next twenty years in Nigeria before returning to the UK in my twenties. I speak Yoruba fluently and can read and write it proficiently. I am a theatre and film maker, artist, writer, dramaturg, and producer. I make multidisciplinary work that feels accessible to people that are not regular theatre goers, whilst giving regular theatre goers an exciting night of something new!.

I’m a playful storyteller and passionate theatre maker.

I pursued a career as a lawyer to please others and decided to return to the university in my 40’s to pursue my first love – theatre and performance. I am so happy that I made that decision. Through the decision, I have found love, peace, and joy. I do the work I do because I love it.

I began my career in the arts in 2012, with a 6-month internship at York Theatre Royal.
